Schedule and fares subject to change without notice.  All fares listed are for roundtrip transportation.  Advance ticket purchase is recommended for all trains and required for all dinner trains and special events.  Trains will run rain or shine.  Seats are not reserved and are available 10 minutes prior to published departure times.  Dinner trains feature reserved, assigned seating.  Club car is open one hour prior to dinner train departure.  Smoking is only allowed in designated vestibule areas.  Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the club car.  Beer, Wine, Wine Coolers and a limited selection of mixed drinks are available to those with proper ID in the club car on all trips.  Picnic grounds are available at Spooner Depot and Trego Jct.  Layover at an intermediate point is available by advance arrangement.  Cab rides one direction are available at an additional charge (limited to two persons per trip).  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad reserves the right to substitute equipment as operating conditions dictate.

Thanksgiving Buffet Train
Give thanks for your family and friends by treating them to a very special buffet lunch on this 30-mile roundtrip from Spooner to Springbrook.  As the train departs Spooner Depot, you are seated in the dining car to begin your lunch experience.  This buffet meal features:  a salad bar with seven salad choices, roasted turkey, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, wild rice pilaf, stuffing, corn o'brien, dilled baby carrots, yams, fresh dinner rolls, and your choice of coffee, iced tea, lemonade, or milk.  There's even pumpkin pie for desert.   You will love the scenery as the train passes through Wisconsin's north woods, along the beautiful Namekagon River, over the Bean Creek Trestle, and along the shore of Green Lake. 

Happy Hour Train 
Our Happy Hour train is an Adult (21+) oriented train that gives local residents and visitors alike an opportunity to take a relaxing ride on the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad.  This 3 hour excursion features five hot hors d'oeuvre choices, veggies and dip, and a meat and cheese tray served on our buffet.  A variety of cocktails are available at the cash bar in the club car.  The dance car will feature music from the 50's through 90's and a dining car will be set aside for quiet conversation.  This is a great way to begin a special night out.  Get a group together and leave the kids at home, this is one evening that you can enjoy.

400 Dinner Buffet Train
Enjoy a very special buffet dinner onboard our period dining cars on this 3-hour roundtrip.  This buffet meal features a salad bar with seven salad choices, roast tenderloin of pork, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, long grain & wild rice, dilled baby carrots, chef’s choice vegetable, fresh dinner rolls, and your choice of coffee, iced tea, lemonade, or milk.  There's even a fresh baked cookie for desert.  This dining option requires passengers to serve themselves at our buffet. 

Breakfast with Santa
Join us for a family favorite as breakfast is served during our 3 hour roundtrip.  Our Breakfast with Santa buffet features:  scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast sticks, biscuits & gravy, lumberjack potatoes, oatmeal, sausage, ham, cold cereal, toast, muffins, danish, fruit salad, cottage cheese, cranberries, vanilla pudding, and a choice of orange juice, apple juice, coffee or milk.  All fresh and hot on the buffet as you travel through the north woods.  After breakfast take a visit to Santa's private car and get great photos as you child shares their Christmas wishes with the jolly elf.  There will even be a special gift for each child.

Santa's Pizza Party
Santa's Pizza Party is a popular new way to celebrate the holiday season with your kids because it combines everyone's favorite meal with a scenic train ride and a visit with Santa.  Year after year Tony's Riverside, the popular Spooner gathering place, cooks up the best pizza around and delivers it hot to the train.  Your ticket aboard Santa's Pizza Party Train includes the 2 1/2 hour train ride, 1/2 pizza per person and your first soda, a visit with Santa in his private car, a special gift for each child, and a holiday cookie and hot chocolate on the return trip.  Family rate includes 2 adults and 3-5 children, 2 pizzas and a soda for each person.  Make your reservations for this family favorite.

Elegant Dinner Train
The Elegant Dinner Train features dinner service in our climate controlled, mahogany interior dining car from 1918. The cash bar opens in the club car one hour prior to departure to get your experience off to a great start.  Immediately after departure from the Depot passengers will be seated for dinner.  Dinner begins with a sampling of Wisconsin Cheeses, dinner salad, our signature French Onion Soup, choice of Prime Rib, Stuffed Chicken Breast, or North Atlantic Salmon, and finish with your choice of scrumptious desserts.  After dinner enjoy quiet conversation at your table or move back to the club car and dance to sounds of the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Sunday Brunch Train
Enjoy a very special buffet lunch onboard our period dining cars on this 3-hour roundtrip.  This buffet meal features a salad bar with seven salad choices, roast beef or roast pork, ham, breakfast sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, french toast sticks, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes & gravy, chefs choice vegetables, fresh dinner rolls, mini muffins, mini danish, toast, cold cereal and your choice of coffee, iced tea, lemonade, orange juice, apple juice or milk.  This dining option requires passengers to serve themselves at our buffet.
